The Financial Game: Click here

It’s 6:30 on a Monday morning. It’s slightly cool outside, so I put on an extra layer of clothes, and out the door, I went for my 2-mile morning walk. Like every day, my neighbors were out taking their morning constitutional.
During my walk, I checked my phone and noticed my daily link from my coach. So, I put my headphones on, clicked the link, and continued my walk. On that day, my coach shared some key strategies but the one on gratitude stool out. He explained that we should spend more time being grateful instead of complaining.
As I started looking within, I noticed that my complaint level was much higher than being thankful for what I had. For example, I complained about my financial situation. Looking back, it makes sense why by economic crisis never got better. Why might you be asking? Unbeknown to me, my life was fulfilling what I was secretly thinking. My debt increased while my income decreased.
Looking back, I remember what my coach said about changing your attitude. So, I stepped up to the plate and committed to openly making gratitude my mission. It wasn’t easy, and I must confess that I had forgotten. However, the more I expressed my appreciation, the more I started feeling a change and seeing the fruits in my life.
What are you thankful for, or are you complaining about your money problems regarding your family? For me, I’m grateful for the most loving and caring parents. But unfortunately, the time I had them in my life was too short.
I’m thankful for my siblings, their protection, and their nurturing. Finally, I am grateful for my children and my loving wife.
The author Brian Tracy said, “Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.”
The English poet Wilfrid Scawen Blunt (1840-1922) thanked God by saying, “If gratitude a poor man’s virtue is, Tis one at least my sick soul can afford. Bankrupt, I am of all youth’s charities, But not of thanks. No. Thanks be to the Lord…”
In closing, gratitude is the game-changer. Change your attitude so your finances, relationship, and health can improve.
